Privacy and Data Protection
European Data Protection Law
All data collected and stored by Insights Head Office falls under European Data Protection legislation, which permits us only to use the data for the purpose for which it was collected, and prevents us from selling it. We cannot export this data to countries which have less secure data protection legislation without direct permission from the clients whose data we hold.
To find our record in the register of Data Controllers refer to http://www.dpr.gov.uk/ and search the register. Unfortunately, permanent URLs cannot be supplied for search results. We can be searched for by company name Insights Learning & Development Ltd. or by our registration code H1309118.
Data sent to Insights offices outside Europe would fall under their local legal system. Questions about this should be addressed to your Insights consultant or local Insights Office.
Insights Discovery Online Evaluator
Data collected on the Insights web site is emailed both to your chosen local Insights office, and to Insights Head Office in the UK (for backup and statistical research purposes).
Information gathered
Many of the data fields in the online evaluator are optional. If you do not wish to complete all the fields, you can enter a minimum of your name, company name, email address and sex, together with, of course, the evaluator responses.
Your title, date of birth, job title, address and telephone number are optional.
Alternative method of evaluation
If, for some reason, you cannot use the online evaluator, we can supply an evaluator in an Acrobat PDF file, which can be printed, completed and then faxed or mailed back to your Insights consultant or local Insights Learning Centre. In this case, no data would be transferred to Insights Head Office in the UK.
