Insights Online Evaluator FAQ

The evaluator doesn't work; only part of a web page appears
Your problem might be due to a corrupt cookie file. The Insights Discovery Online Evaluator stores information in a cookie in your web browser as you enter information. Deleting the problem cookie will probably solve this problem.

To delete the cookie, follow these instructions (to date, this issue has only been reported with Internet Explorer 5):

  1. In Internet Explorer go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options..."
  2. In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click on "Settings..."
  3. In the settings dialog, click on "View Files..."
  4. Find the cookie for http://evaluator.insightsworld.com/, and delete it. It will be called something like "Cookie:username@evaluator.insightsworld.com/".
  5. Try viewing the Online Evaluator again.

Note that if you are using the secure (https) connection to the evaluator, your cookie may be called secure.insightsworld.com instead of evaluator.insightsworld.com.

The Evaluator is asking to send my information, but I haven't entered any yet!
Someone else has completed an Evaluator at this machine before you, and their data is still held on the machine. To remove their information and be allowed to enter your own details, use the "Delete" options at the bottom of the web page - select the check box, then click the "Delete" button.

When I complete the first question, I'm taken back to the personal details page
This is probably happening because you don't have "cookies" turned on in your web browser. The Online Evaluator uses a small file on your computer called a "cookie" to store information as you move through the pages, and if cookies are disabled on your computer, it thinks that you're not entering data.

Instructions for enabling cookies in some common browsers can be found below. If you do not wish to or for some reason cannot enable cookies, please contact your Insights representative and ask for a paper copy of the Evaluator, or a copy in Adobe Acrobat's PDF format which you can print out, complete and return.

What is this email message I received after completing the Online Evaluator?
The document attached to the email that you received is a complete copy of the evaluator data that has been sent to Insights. This is for backup and personal privacy purposes, so that you have a copy of the data that you submitted. The data is in XML format, which is a structured text file.

You do not need to open the Evaluator XML file - your Insights profile will arrive separately, as agreed with your Insights representative. However, if you want to be able to inspect its contents, you should be able to open it in Internet Explorer or in any text editor, such as Notepad.
